Six Solutions To Your Skateboarding Needs
Now, you're finally “in” and skateboarding is a part of your vocabulary. It's not bad to go along with the bandwagon but learning how to maneuver a skateboard is definitely a tough challenge that anyone will ever have to face.
Like many other extreme sports, skateboarding is one of those you simply can't resist knowing how it would make you feel to be thrown out into the open air to land perfectly just fine on the ground. Just before you lose yourself into the stunt as you glide down with gravity, check your skateboarding gear if you have the best gears you will definitely need in this breath taking sport.
• Your primary tool is your deck. It comes in different sizes, shapes, materials and dimensions. Add color and design to it so you can look more hip on the streets too. As is always the best tip, quality is very essential. The most common material is the wood which is known to put champions in their positions. Fiber glass, plastic and aluminum are its less common types.
• Perfect a 180 using the most durable wheels. Glide over the rails and earn all the applause once you've hammered the nail. There are several classifications of wheels suitable for the type and kind of deck you have. Depending on you deck, your wheels should allow you smooth and error free rides on tough and easy surfaces whether on the street or in the park.
• Accidents are inevitable on such extreme sports. In fact, this is what the skater puts a risk on every time he or she performs a stunt. Therefore, in this case, protective gears are a must and not only an option. Pad yourself from the elbow to your knees using durable pads. These should fit tight into its place so it won't loosen up should you be changing positions or land roughly on the ground.
• Protect your fingers with gloves so you can land on your hand just fine if you want to make that head-down position. Get a pair that will look good on your hands. Make sure that these do not easily loosen and wear out after a single use.
• Keep your brains intact and avoid trauma by using the perfect helmet. Helmets have shock-resisting factors that will keep a strong hit as you fall to the ground. No matter how you want to avoid this, you just can't. It's better to know what will work best for you before it's too late. A good helmet covers your occipital part of the head, your frontal head area and even underneath your head's temporal portion; your ears that is!
• Essentially, footwear is another gear that you should look into. It should fit comfortably on your feet giving you an easy maneuver every time you perform a stunt. Various options will allow you to choose for design and fashion as well but more importantly, for safety.
Seems you just can't get enough over this adrenaline rush and staying ten seconds on air is your knack. While you enjoy that feeling, arm yourself with the best skateboarding gear and don't just use any other substitute!
